How we work
Buying and selling a second-hand bike in Luxembourg used to mean trawling through general classifieds, fielding time-wasters, and hoping for the best. We've built something better. Here's how it works — whether you're looking for your next ride or ready to pass on your last one.
For Buyers
Find your bike1. Browse and search
Use the category tiles on the homepage to browse by bike type, or type a brand, model, or keyword into the search bar. Narrow your results with filters for brand, condition, frame size, price, and location. Every result is from Luxembourg or the immediate Greater Region — no irrelevant listings from far away.
2. Message the seller
Found something interesting? Send the seller a message through our secure in-app chat. Ask questions, request more photos, or arrange a time to view the bike in person. Your contact details are never shared automatically.
3. Meet and inspect
We recommend meeting in a busy public location to inspect the bike before handing over any money. Ask for a test ride — any genuine seller will expect it. See our Safety Tips page for guidance on what to look for.
4. Agree, pay, and ride
Agree a final price, complete the handover, and enjoy your next bike. Leaving a review for the seller helps the whole community — and builds the trust that makes Spin Back Cycles work.
For Sellers
Sell your bike1. Create your free listing
Listing is completely free. Fill in the form, upload photos, set your price, and publish. Your listing is live immediately and visible to buyers right across Luxembourg. The better your listing, the faster your bike finds a new home.
2. Respond to enquires
When a buyer is interested, you'll receive a message in your inbox. Reply promptly — responsive sellers get more completed sales. All communication stays inside the platform until you choose to share your contact details.
3. Arrange a handover
Agree a time and place with the buyer. We recommend a busy, public location for in-person handovers. If you're willing to post the bike, use a tracked shipping service and confirm the method with the buyer before accepting payment.
4. Complete the sale - and pass the bike on
Once payment is received and the buyer is happy, the sale is done. A small success fee applies — see the fee section below. Leave a review for the buyer, and enjoy knowing your bike has found a new life with someone who'll actually ride it.

Frequently asked questions
Is it really free to list?
Yes, completely. There is no charge to create or publish a listing, and no charge if your bike doesn’t sell. We only earn when you do.
How does payment work?
Payment is agreed between buyer and seller and completed at the point of handover. Cash is the most common method for in-person transactions in Luxembourg. If you are posting a bike, agree the payment method with the buyer in advance and use a secure, traceable transfer. Never release the bike before payment is confirmed.
Can I edit or remove my listing?
Yes, at any time. Log in to your account, go to your listings, and edit or remove them. You can also mark a bike as sold without removing the listing, which helps buyers see that the platform is active.
What if something goes wrong?
Contact us at hello@spinbackcycles.lu and we'll do our best to help. We cannot guarantee the outcome of private transactions, but we take reports of fraudulent behaviour seriously, investigate all credible reports, and will remove listings and block accounts where appropriate.
Can I list in French or German?
Yes. You can write your listing in English, French, or German. The platform interface is available in all three languages.
What types of bikes can I list?
All kinds: road, mountain, urban, e-bikes, kids’ bikes, cargo bikes, BMX, vintage, and folding bikes. You can also list individual components and accessories in the Parts & Accessories category.
Do I need to create an account to browse?
No. Anyone can browse listings and use the search and filter tools without registering. You only need an account to message a seller or create a listing.
