Setting up to sell

  • Create a free Spin Back Cycles account (or log in if you already have one)
  • Click ‘Post a listing’ in the top navigation
  • Choose the right category for your bike
  • Fill in the listing form — title, brand, model, size, condition, price, and description
  • Upload your photos (at least one required, up to ten)
  • Set your collection preference and location (your commune only — your full address is never shown)
  • Preview and publish — your listing is live immediately

Create a great listing

The best listings sell faster. Here’s what makes the difference:

Photos

Good photos are the single biggest factor in a quick sale. Add at least four: a full shot from the drive side, a full shot from the non-drive side, a close-up of the drivetrain, and any areas of wear or damage. Natural light works best. A clean bike in good light will always look more appealing than a dirty bike in a dark garage.

Honest description

Describe the bike’s condition accurately. Note any upgrades, recent servicing, accessories included in the sale, and any known issues. Honest descriptions attract serious buyers and build your reputation on the platform. A listing that mentions a small scratch will get more genuine enquiries than one that hides it.

Realistic price

Not sure what to ask? Search for similar bikes on Spin Back Cycles to see current asking prices. As a general guide, well-maintained bikes from quality brands in good condition typically sell for 40–60% of their original retail price. E-bikes, high-end road bikes, and cargo bikes tend to hold their value better.

Complete the detail fields

Listing a brand, model family, frame size, and wheel size dramatically increases the number of buyers who find your listing through search. These take an extra minute to fill in and are worth it.

Our fees

Listing is always free!

We charge a modest success fee of 8% of the agreed sale price when your bike sells. The minimum fee is €5, and the maximum is €50 — so no matter how valuable your bike, you’ll never pay more than €50 in fees.

Selling during our launch period? No fee at all.

We’re waiving our success fee entirely for the first 90 days after launch. List now and keep 100% of your sale price. The fee will be introduced transparently once the launch period ends — all sellers will be notified in advance.
